Decorate your home with these original furniture made of flowers

In our daily life we have contact with plants and flowers: we see them in the gardens, we consume them in infusions, we add them to the decoration in our house, etc. But, can you imagine being able to have furniture made with them?

Designer Asif Khan chose to use them as the main material in the collection he presented at the Design Museum in London. To make Harvest, Khan used Gypsophilia, commonly known as “rain” in bouquets, to create chairs and tables.

To assemble the furniture, Khan took advantage of the ability of these plants to hook well between them. When you had enough, these were cut to mold and freeze. Once hardened, the furniture was covered with a layer of resin to keep it.

With Harvest, Asif Khan wanted to show the use that can be given to all kinds of materials in addition to reinforcing the connection between the exterior and the interior, which we tend to forget.
