Peru is chosen as the Best Culinary Destination in Latin America in 2023

The World Culinary Awards 2023 revealed its most recent winners. And among the award-winning categories, the Best Culinary Destination in Latin America stood out, which went to Peru. In addition, Lima was chosen as the best gastronomic city in the region.

The list of winners, which can be consulted on the official website of the award, also included recognition of several Peruvian restaurants. Among them, Mayta, by chef Jaime Pesaque.

After being chosen in 2022 as the Best restaurant in the world by this ranking prepared by gastronomic specialists and with the popular vote, this 2023, the establishment located on Avenida La Mar was chosen the best in Latin America, surpassing other nominees such as Don Julio (ArgentinaI) and Boragó (Chile).
