Paralelo Bakery: this is the new pastry proposal of the restaurant in Miraflores

Provecho tried some of Paralelo Bakery’s new offerings, so that you are encouraged to try this new experience from the owners of one of the best-known terraces in Miraflores.

Alejandra Lozada, creator of the Paralelo Bakery brand, tells us that this idea was born at the request of the public, “we saw the customer’s need to include snacks in their celebrations, sweet and savory snacks. So we went with that and we have received good acceptance from the public,” she says.

The bet on the classic

For this first era of Paralelo Bakery, Alejandra Lozada tells us that they opted for classic snacks such as: churros, truffles, brownies, alfajores, mini breads with chicken and ham and cheese. “We went for what customers most requested, little by little expanding our menu that will focus on gourmet, for an exclusive and improved service,” she says.

Although the classic is for now among their products they offer, it is worth noting that the flavor of the brownies and truffles are not the usual ones, since for those of us who do not like sweets much, we find the perfect balance on the palate.

“The use of cocoa balances the sugar level and allows it to not be so sweet, but rather rich to enjoy in every bite,” says Lozada.

In the case of the crunchy and delicious churros, they will undoubtedly be your favorites, if you like an extra dose of sweet, as well as the soft and homemade flavor of alfajor.

On the savory side, the mini bread with chicken is a must at social gatherings, of course, with its touch of homemade mayonnaise, as well as a mini but generous ham and cheese croissants. What caught our attention were the mini roast breads with caramelized onion and avocado. This was undoubtedly an adventure that came out of the routine and escapes the classic bite.

Bet on gourmet, but without a space

Although Paralelo Restaurante is perhaps one of the most beautiful restaurants in Miraflores, Alejandra Lozada tells us that Paralelo Bakery still has no plans to open its own location.

He also details that his bet is on growing with gourmet snacks. “What we want and what we are developing is our line of gourmet snacks, for example, in the savory area and to be able to present panko-style prawns, chicken canapés, skewers, slightly more elaborate sandwiches,” Lozada concludes.
