7 lives Taproom, the new space in Miraflores to enjoy interesting craft beers and snacks

The offer of spaces to enjoy a good drink and food increases in Miraflores and this time it is the turn of craft beer. In September of this year, a new taproom was inaugurated, offering the curious beers of the Peruvian brand 7 Vidas. Provecho visited the space, strategically located half a block from Kennedy Park, and in this note we tell you more about the experience and what can be found in his letter.

Miguel Zúñiga, one of the project partners, tells us that this space is a franchise in alliance with the 7 Vidas brand. “We want to turn the brand experience towards the end consumer and have them enjoy a complete experience,” he explains. It should be noted that the 7 Vidas brewery was recently recognized as the Best Brewery in America 2023, in the tenth edition of the Copa Cervezas de América.

The idea behind this taproom is to celebrate the wide variety of beers created by this brand, highly recognized for its creativity and quality to make versions with incredible ingredients such as mango or purple corn. “This is a space designed for a fairly diverse audience, since we offer everything from more basic versions to more complex flavors. The idea is that the audience ranges from the most demanding in terms of craft beers, to those who do not necessarily know much, but are curious,” says Zuñiga.

The space is quite spacious and comfortable, in addition to having tables and a bar from which you can see a selection of 20 pipes – crowned by the charming black cat that is the icon of the brand. This taproom also offers a menu of bottled beers. You can enjoy a taster, which consists of 4 beer options served in small glasses. “The people who usually order it are those who do not yet have a favorite or want to try the variety and then decide on one,” explains Miguel. The most classic thing is to enjoy half or a full pint, although everything will depend on the taste of the diner.

7 Lives Taproom It has a small menu of snacks, but they cover a good variety if they are simple, tasty meals that are perfect for sharing. “We have tequeños, wings, hamburgers and a few other things. The idea is to be able to have a consistent menu, whose preparation we can manage and never lower the quality standard, which is very important,” adds Zuñiga.

An experience to share

We definitely recommend going with a group of friends, colleagues and even family, to be able to try the menu of more than 25 varieties of 7 Vidas beers -not counting the 3 guest labels-.

Among our favorite versions we highlight the Rose Brut, a new beer in which fresh Italian grape must is used in the preparation. If they are mild flavors, as for those who timidly approach the world of craft beers, the Oxapampa Honey Ale It is ideal, with its subtle honey flavor and extremely refreshing. A pleasant surprise was the Mango Milshake IPA. The base is barley and wheat malt with roasted oats, ingredients such as lactose, Madagascar vanilla and mango are added and the result is an almost creamy drink, with medium bitterness and very pleasant.

We also taste the CAT IPA, a classic from the brand, with a classic golden color, clean bitterness and quite citrus aromas. Two of its versions that take advantage of Peruvian inputs are the Purple Corn Cream Ale and the Quinoa Wheat.

To complement the experience, they have well-prepared snacks that perfectly accompany the drinks. The favorite dish was loin tequeños, with a filling filling of lomo saltado and served with a tasty mayonnaise in its sauce. The wings -which we recommend ordering with fries- are also a perfect option. The ones chosen for the occasion were the classic BBQ and the Eastern Limón ones.

His classic burger It has no loss and comes cooked to perfection, while its Tap chicharrón It is an almost addictive bite thanks to the crispy chicken pieces accompanied by tartar sauce.
