Is it difficult to cook a homemade family pizza? With this recipe you will master it

In our times, where everything moves faster and there are almost no occasions to get together as a family, cooking a pizza It can be a great excuse to create a special moment and share together.

Step 1: If you are going to use dry yeast, I recommend taking a little of those 500 ml. of water that is at room temperature. Warm it and dilute your yeast there.

Step 2: In a container, place the flour, yeast, oil, salt and only a third of the water that you will use in total. Mix everything correctly until the ingredients are integrated. You can do this preparation by hand or in a mixer.

Step 3: Transfer the dough to your work table and finish kneading, with your clean hands, for about 8 minutes. Then stretch the dough like a pionono and cut it into 5 equal pieces if you want family pizzas. If not, choose the size and thickness you prefer.

Step 4: Form the dough into balls and place them on an oiled tray. With your hand, pass oil over each ball of dough and then cover everything with plastic wrap or a dryer. Let it sit at room temperature for two hours.

Step 5: Once the resting time is up, stretch the dough using a rolling pin or a clean bottle until you get the thickness you choose. I love them thin and crispy.

Step 6: Place the stretched dough on a clean tray (if you don’t have a round one, dare to prepare a rectangular pizza, which is very common in Europe). Add the ingredients that you like the most. In general, the tomato paste always comes first, which you can prepare yourself by blending peeled tomatoes, without seeds and without water, and cooking them a little over very low heat for about 20 minutes with a little oregano.

Step 7: On top of the tomato paste you can add mozzarella cheese, salami, chorizo, vegetables, olives, or whatever you like best.

Step 8: Put the preparation in a preheated oven for at least 15 minutes. Place the tray in the lowest part of the oven, that is, touching the floor of your oven for about 10 to 12 minutes, always checking.

NOTE: If you want to save this preparation, I recommend freezing the dough balls once they have rested for 2 hours. Keep them in an airtight container – do not refrigerate them – and they can last up to 3 months. When you want to use them again, you simply defrost it at room temperature and follow the procedure I taught you. Just in case, the tray you will use does not have anything at all.
