The President of the National Assembly, Richard Ferrand, is surprised not to see the face and / or the name of Emmanuel Macron on the posters of the Renaissance candidates (ex LREM) for the legislative elections. Visibly annoyed, the latter sent a message Thursday to all the candidates of the presidential majority in the legislative elections and asked them to rectify the situation quickly, reports The Huffington Post.
“I write to you my astonishment, discovering on social networks that many candidates omit to include the face and / or the name of the President of the Republic on their campaign posters”, can we read on the message sent on Telegram and revealed by a journalist from Mediapart.
“It is a question of obvious electoral efficiency”
“It is essential that our candidacies be identified as those in support of the President of the Republic and the presidential majority. It is a question of obvious electoral efficiency, ”he continues. According to Richard Ferrand, not displaying Emmanuel Macron could cost the Macronist camp seats. “To omit this identification is in this respect an error which can jeopardize each candidacy and therefore the constitution of a solid majority”, he writes again.
At the end of his message, the President of the National Assembly invites the candidates stamped Renaissance, but also Horizons or MoDem, to “correct the situation” very quickly. A remark which is not unnoticed and which made some Macronist deputies laugh. But the revelation of this message does nothing to help their reputation.
