49.3 on the social security budget: vote of no confidence La France insoumise rejected

The fifth government decree is in force, the fifth vote of no confidence is rejected by the LFI. Insumi failed to vote for a no-confidence vote this Friday after the government used 49.3 on Wednesday night to pass the revenue portion of the 2023 social security budget proposal. 85 the deputies voted for a motion of no confidence when it needed 289 votes to lead to the resignation of the government.

“We can’t keep repeating a debate that has already been decided,” Elizabeth Bourne justified in a half-cycle, scoring 49.3 for the fifth time in almost a month. “This is the hundredth passage in force is unacceptable,” the leader of the insurgent deputies, Matilda Panot, criticized before the press, immediately announcing a vote of no confidence.

Without RN to avoid “trivialization”

Supporting four no-confidence votes from the left, a group of RN deputies announced on Tuesday that they would not vote for a new LFI move against the government and its welfare budget to avoid “trivialization.”

“We are not filing a vote of no confidence for this reason. And then, it doesn’t make much sense, 49.3 was used in the first reading, it’s normal that there is one for the future,” Marine Le Pen also pointed out.

The failure of this vote of no confidence comes the day after a stormy parliamentary session. By suspending meetings and making amendments, the presidential camp on Thursday prevented a vote on the LFI text on the reintegration of caregivers not vaccinated against Covid-19.
