Security Council grants Guterres second term as UN chief

The Security Council on Tuesday approved the attribution of a second term to Antonio Guterres, 72, to lead the UN between 2022 and 2026, a period during which he will be expected on conflict resolution.

Secretary General since January 2017, the former Portuguese Prime Minister was the only one in the running.
