On Tuesday, Arsenal announced the termination of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s contract. This Wednesday, FC Barcelona formalized the expected arrival in Catalonia of the 32-year-old Gabonese international striker, a free player and therefore able to commit where he wanted even after the transfer window closed, Monday evening at midnight.
Barça has clarified the terms of the contract: a lease until June 30, 2025, with an option to leave on June 30, 2023 and a release clause of 100 million euros.

According to The TimesArsenal agreed to pay 7 million pounds, or 8.4 million euros, to break the contract which bound him to Aubameyang, and which would run until June 2023. The former captain of the Gunners had lost his armband in December after a new prank.
Three attackers recruited in England
It remains for him to revive in Barcelona which recruited two other attackers in England this winter, the Spanish internationals Ferran Torres (Manchester City) and Adama Traoré (Wolverhampton).
