André Carrillo was reunited this Thursday with the goal -a great goal to be more precise- and collaborated for Al Hilal’s resounding 5-0 win over Al Shabab, for matchday 21 of the Saudi Professional League. The great presentation of the Peruvian team coincided with the debut of Ramón Díaz on the bench.

The start of the second period of the Argentine in charge of the blue team was super auspicious. At the end of the match at the Príncipe Faisal bin Fahd Stadium, a huge smile of joy had ‘Pelado’ Díaz, who gave ‘Culebra’ Carrillo a hug, in a clear sign of approval for his performance.

The TV cameras captured that special moment starring Díaz and Carrillo, who started and left the field at minute 77, when he was replaced by the Brazilian Michael. The beginning of the new cycle, in fact, means a new opportunity for the Peruvian to gain the confidence of the South American and enjoy more opportunities.

André Carrillo (25′) was in charge of signing the 2-0 over Al Shabab, with a strong right foot from the edge of the area. That was his third goal so far in the domestic championship and the second in 2022, considering the one he scored against Al Jazeera in the Club World Cup.

The Nigerian Odion Ighalo (18′ and 43′) and the Malian Moussa Marega (30′ and 82′) signed the other goals for Al Hilal, who with the victory reached 34 points and is located in the fourth box, with three matches pending to be played.

On the next date, André Carrillo’s team will face bottom team Al Hazm. This engagement is scheduled for Saturday, February 26. Five days before, Al Hilal will clash with Al Nassr, for the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey.
