‘Pulga’ Rodríguez: this is how the Argentine player practiced before scoring his Olympic goal

Luis Rodríguez stole the cameras in Colón’s victory (3-1) against Godoy Cruz after scoring an Olympic goal. At 76′, ‘Flea’ was about to take a corner kick and saw that the goalkeeper was out of his goal. So, he decided to hit it directly and the ball went in, despite the goalkeeper’s attempt to save it.

However, this was not improvised, as the Argentine player constantly practiced for his masterful goal. This was demonstrated by a video published by TyC Sports on their social networks to the surprise of the ‘Rojinegro’ fans.

As can be seen, the attacker started kicking corner kicks during his club’s training session. In one of those attempts, he threw the ball that took a strange curve and slipped into the nets of the goal that was without a goalkeeper. Rodríguez received congratulations from his teammates.

Colón’s followers highlighted the “Flea” shot and shared the clip on other social networks. “What kind of player!”, “The technique is intact”, “I hope that he continues with that good streak”, “You are a crack” or “You are a great player, Luis Rodríguez”were some of the comments.

It is important to mention that ‘Sabalero’ has started the Argentine Professional League Cup on the right foot. On the first day, they drew (1-1) against Boca Juniors at La Bombonera and now they beat Godoy. On the next date, he will play against Central Córdoba.

Where has Luis Rodríguez played?

The 37-year-old striker has also worn the jerseys of Racing, Atlético Tucumán and Newell’s Al Boys. The attacker was champion of the Professional League Cup with Colón in 2021.
