Peruvian Sebastián Obando is the new reinforcement of the San Lorenzo futsal team

A new challenge in his sports career. Sebastián Obando, a former member of Universitario de Deportes and regularly called up to the Peruvian national team, became the brand new reinforcement for the San Lorenzo futsal team in Argentina.

“Sebastián Obando joined training this afternoon and is the new face of Luciano Antonelli’s team” announced the Barça team on its Instagram account, thus welcoming the outstanding athlete, one of the figures of the ‘U’ in the 2021 season.

“The level of demand in training is the maximum and, for this reason, San Lorenzo is ready for great things”was the short, but forceful message that Obando left in his first days of work in the ‘Ciclón’.

Sebastián Obando joins San Lorenzo, champion of the Futsal Copa Libertadores in 2021, after beating Brazilian Carlos Barbosa 4-3. In that tournament, the Peruvian was part of the ‘U’ campaign that reached the quarterfinals.

In the Peruvian national team, the skillful player was in the Copa América held between January and February in Paraguay. Although the ‘Blanquirroja’ did not go beyond the group stage, Obando did well personally: he was one of the two top scorers: he scored five, as did the Paraguayan Hugo Martínez.
