Alianza Lima did not start the season in the best way and currently has a negative streak of three consecutive losses. The technical command led by Carlos Bustos tries to reverse the situation and, seeking to take advantage of the days without activity in League 1, scheduled a practice match against Alfonso Ugarte de Puno.

The meeting took place in Matute and the ‘Blanquiazul’ club coach used two teams, in order to observe the present of his squad. During the first half of the match against the institution of Puno, the eleven was made up as follows:

Frank Saravia; Fabio Rojas, Jefferson Portales, Carlos Montoya, Sebastian Cavero; Miguel Cornejo, Oswaldo Valenzuela, Pablo Lavandeira, Arley Rodríguez, Wilmer Aguirre and Darlin Leiton. In that initial stage, parity could not be broken and the scoreboard registered a goalless draw.

Later, Carlos Bustos made a complete modification for his second team: Ángel de la Cruz/Jonathan Medina; Oslimg Mora, Pablo Míguez, Jordi Vilchez, Ricardo Lagos, Aldair Fuentes, Edgar Benítez, Cristian Benavente, Mauricio Matzuda, Hernán Barcos, Óscar Pinto.

This time, Alianza Lima improved on offense and won 1-0, with a goal from ‘Pájaro’ Benítez. Apart from the positive result, the technical command intends that the collective functioning continues to improve, so that the club can come back in the 2022 Opening Tournament. In that sense, the La Victoria team will play another friendly at home this Saturday, March 19, this time before Alianza Universidad de Huánuco.

Let’s remember that the ‘Blue and Whites’ will rest this weekend in League 1 and will only return to activity on Friday, April 1, when they visit Sport Huancayo (date 8), which is one of the teams that has been fighting among the first places from the standings table.
