The Peruvian women’s team will clash against Mexico in two friendly matches

Everything ready to continue with the preparation. The Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) announced this Thursday that the women’s team will face the Mexican team in a couple of friendly matches that will be held on the FIFA date in June at venues and times to be defined.

The FPF and the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) reached an agreement for the women’s teams to play two friendly matches in the Aztec country.

The first duel will take place on June 25 and the second on the 28th of the same month, during the FIFA date. Peru is the eighth best team in Conmebol, ranked 67th in the FIFA ranking; while Mexico is ranked 27th.

Those led by Conrad Flores are preparing for the Copa América Femenina Colombia 2022 that will be held in July, the same one that will be transcendental since it will be a qualifier for the Australia-New Zealand World Cup.

Peru will be the third South American national team that Vergara faces in his management at the head of the “Tri” that began in January 2021.

The present of the Mexican team

The Mexican women’s team of coach Mónica Vergara hopes to reach the match against the Peruvians with the ticket to the Concacaf W Championship, the Pre-World Championship in which the four representatives of the confederation to the Australia-New Zealand 2023 World Cup will be defined.

The Concacaf Championship will be held in the city of Monterrey, in northern Mexico, and will take place from July 4 to 18.
