James Rodríguez: “It breaks my soul to lose. It bothers me not being qualified for the World Cup”

Colombia beat Venezuela 1-0 in Puerto Ordaz for the last day of the Qatar 2022 Qualifying, but it was not enough to get the playoff. with goal of James Rodriguez, the ‘Cafeteros’ prevailed in Puerto Ordaz and dreamed for a moment of the playoffs. However, they ended up coming up empty handed.

Now, 24 hours after that bitter drink, the Colombian midfielder posted a heartfelt message on social media for fans. “The most beautiful thing that has happened to me in my career as a footballer was attending two World Cups representing the shirt that I love the most, the yellow of my national team. It is worth mentioning that Colombia finished in sixth place in the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers with 23 points, only one behind Peru, which achieved the playoffs and keeps the dream of reaching the World Cup intact.
