The last request of Kylian Mbappé that can change the panorama with Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappé’s situation continues in limbo. Both Real Madrid and PSG are pushing for their own interests. The French club wants, at any cost, to extend the contract of the most influential footballer in the current squad. Meanwhile, the Spanish club hopes to close the last details to finalize the signing of the world champion in 2018.

However, everything that has progressed between the ‘White House’ and ‘Kiki’ has come to a halt. According to El Partidazo de Cope, the one born in Bondy and his surroundings requested 100 million euros from the meringues to put the signature on the agreement. Without a doubt, a request that could throw the advanced conversations overboard.

As the journalist Guillem Balagué points out in the aforementioned Spanish medium, Mbappé wants more money to reach Real Madrid as a free player. It is a figure described as “madness” that President Florentino Pérez is not willing to pay, no matter how much he wants Kylian on his team.

Consequently, the negotiations between Madrid and Mbappé would have cooled down. According to Balague, “Real Madrid and Florentino Pérez have stood up for the signing” of the Frenchman, so PSG renews its hopes to retain him beyond June 30, 2022, the date on which his contract ends.

Along the same lines, and taking advantage of the spring holidays in France, Kylian Mbappé’s family has traveled to Qatar, where, according to the newspaper L’Équipe, they will take the opportunity to speak with high-ranking authorities linked to PSG about a possible extension of the striker’s contract.

According to the publication, these meetings in Doha, the capital of Qatar – a country that is the main shareholder of PSG -, have as their goal “give continuity to the usual conversations” established in recent times.

A post on Instagram by Mbappé’s little brother, Ethan, confirms the trip to the small Persian Gulf state, headed by the soccer player’s mother, Fayza Lamari, influential in his professional affairs.

The Qatari authorities consider that keeping Mbappé in the ranks of Paris Saint-Germain beyond this June 30, 2022 would be a finishing touch, since five months later the World Cup is held in Qatar.

However, the newspaper clarifies that the game is still open” between Paris and Real Madrid. One of the most thorny issues that both entities will have to address is precisely the transfer or not of the striker’s image rights.

Mbappé, for his part, is concentrating for the match at the Parc des Princes against Lens this Saturday, which could mean PSG’s tenth league title.
