Edson Puch retires from football after being attacked by barristas

Gray moments for Chilean soccer. Edson Puch, an athlete who defended the colors of the Chilean National Team, announced his retirement after he was attacked by barristas who are followers of Deportes Iquique, the club where he lived.

This abrupt moment would be the cause for him to make a radical decision: his definitive retirement from the club and from football. This is how he would explain it hours later on his official Instagram account.

“Throughout my career I had never experienced a situation like the one I am experiencing today, so it seems necessary to clarify certain aspects. ”, she indicated.

“I, along with my partner, were attacked by a group of people who entered our training place without any type of authorization. The rumors about my abandonment due to the results obtained lately are totally false, as is the defamation that the locker room is broken”, specified the now ex-striker.

It is good to point out that the former striker was in the golden generation of the Chilean team where he was able to win the Copa América twice in a row.
