Barcelona and its millionaire loss with Philippe Coutinho

Bad business. Philippe Coutinho arrived at Barcelona in exchange for 188 million dollars and would be about to be sold for a much lower figure, after not fully accommodating himself in the Barça team.

Unlike the money they paid in 2018, the Catalans will take their last chance to cash in and will receive less than 20 million euros from Aston Villa for the Brazilian, Mundo Deportivo reported.

If the operation goes through, Barcelona will sell Coutinho at a loss of 167 million, as part of one of the worst investments in its history.

Aston Villa obtained the loan of the ex-Liverpool player with a non-mandatory purchase option of 40 million. However, Barcelona would accept less to ensure the sale once and for all.

According to the Spanish newspaper, Barcelona will achieve a positive impact of about 40 million euros between the sale of Coutinho and what is saved from his record for next season.
