An event that he wrote this 2021/22, before leaving on loan to Aston Villa last January. In total, as a culer, he has added 106 games and has scored 26 goals. On a sporting level, his departure is a relief for Xavi, who does not have him in his plans for his project and nobody thinks that he can perform again as he did in his best years. In addition, economically, Barça dispenses with one of the highest chips that remain, since Coutinho earns about 13.5 million euros per year.

The Brazilian landed at the Camp Nou in January 2018 after tough negotiations with Liverpool. The board would have liked to have him from the summer of 2017, after Neymar left, but then there was no agreement with the English.
