The (very) young Ruben Amorim, Luis Campos’ priority to replace Pochettino on the bench?

Stalled at all levels of the club pending the decision of Kylian Mbappé, PSG seems determined since Saturday evening to catch up to build its new project as quickly as possible. After dispatching the dismissal of Leonardo and finding his replacement, Luis Campos, who should sign his contract in the coming days, the capital club is now focusing on the name of the person who will replace Mauricio Pochettino on the bench next season.

And, according to information from Parisian, it could be the (very) young coach of Sporting, Ruben Amorim, only 37 years old and who led the Lions to the Portuguese title this season. Antero Henrique’s brother-in-law – who is said to have played an important role in Mbappé’s decision to extend to PSG – is known to be a solid 3-4-3 tactician. Under contract until 2024 with Sporting, Amorim has a release clause of 30 million euros.

PSG bets on the sacred union

If this is a huge bet for PSG, even more than with Unai Emery and Thomas Tuchel, this choice would at least have the merit of consistency from a sports policy point of view. By going to get Luis Campos, the Parisian leaders have indeed acted on the idea that there could be no dissension between the sports management and the coach. However, for once, Amorim would be the number one choice of the former strongman of Monaco champion of France 2017. We ask to see.
