Marcos López psyches himself up in the playoff match: “We all prepare responsibly”

Marcos López has started for the San José Earthquakes in all four of their recent Major League Soccer games. The left back regularly arrives at the Peruvian national team and is focused on the playoff match against Australia or the United Arab Emirates.

In the absence of a few weeks for the duel, the footballer referred to this new call. “Being summoned is an enormous satisfaction and a joy at the same time for all the effort that one makes for so many months, for so many years of being constantly at the high level”, he declared for the official page of the MLS.

“Each one, in Peru, I think that they unconsciously prepare themselves in their teams. Each teammate prepares in the best way because he knows the responsibility that comes with wearing the national team shirt and even more so if they are representing to go to a World Cup”he added.

In the same way, he referred to the virtues of his possible opponents in the playoffs. “I think the team will be fine for the last days of the game. Obviously we still don’t know the rival, but we know that the two (UAE or Australia) are strong, intense rivals and like every team, they like the ball and we’re going to work on it”. he explained.

Marcos López also spoke about the countries (France, Denmark and Tunisia) that Peru would face if it manages to qualify Qatar. he noted the following: “This is the beauty of football, it gives you revenge, God willing, we will be in the same group and hopefully do things well so that we can be and want to go to the next round”, he mentioned.
