Poland’s DT on Lewandowski’s fate: “I would like to see him in Liverpool”

Robert Lewandowski’s career will take a drastic turn in the near future as the striker has expressed his desire to leave the ranks of Germany’s Bayern Munich. Due to his qualities, the footballer will have several options to continue his career and his coach in the Polish national team, Czeslaw Michniewicz, revealed where he would like to see him.

In a recent press conference, the strategist confessed that he would like the attacker to be able to display his talent in the Premier League. “I would like him to be able to play for Liverpool, especially because I am a fan of the club.”, declared the Polish DT before the media.

Let’s remember that Jürgen Klopp currently leads the ‘Reds’ bench and already had the opportunity to direct Lewandowski at Borussia Dortmund. Precisely, the German coach managed to exploit the qualities of the footballer, who already showed himself to the world as an impressive scorer.

In the same way, the DT of the Polish team assured that Robert is the best athlete he has directed. “It wouldn’t be fair to say that about any other player except ‘Lewy’. How he pushed himself to become who he is today is extraordinary.”, concluded Czeslaw Michniewicz.

When does Lewandowski’s contract end?

Robert Lewandowski maintains a contractual relationship with Bayern Munich, which will end on June 30, 2023. Despite having the possibility of playing one more season with the ‘Bavarians’, the striker made it clear that he does not want to continue in the institution and therefore seeks a new destination.

The absence of the attacker in the German club will undoubtedly be notorious. In the 2021-22 season alone, ‘Lewy’ scored 35 goals in 34 games in the Bundesliga; while he inflated the nets 13 times in 10 Champions League appearances.
