Mauro Icardi exploded against a journalist for harsh criticism: “These speeches are nonsense”

The 2021-22 season was not one of Mauro Icardi’s best. The Argentine, due to injuries and technical decisions, did not have the continuity that he surely longed for. Before rejoining PSG for a new season, the striker enjoys his vacation in Africa, from where he responded to a journalist for a harsh criticism.

Alessandro Grandesso, from La Gazzetta dello Sport accused the South American of “enjoy the good life and leave your career in jeopardy”. Icardi uploaded an image of the publication to his Instagram account and did not hesitate to answer what was written by the communicator.

I’m in Africa, Alessandro, next year I’ll let you organize my vacation if you want. Or are these speeches nonsense like every year? When I scored 30 goals per season, there were the same arguments.” the 29-year-old athlete wrote.

Icardi remarked that he has two more years on his contract (until the end of June 2024) and left Alessandro a sarcastic message.

“Career in danger? I still have two years on my contract. It doesn’t seem as serious as you make it clear with the written rubbish. At 29 years old, don’t worry, with almost 200 goals scored, everyone knows me quite well. And then I decide to stay and make myself available. Thank you very much, I hug you strongly from Africa, with the gorillas, with the lions and all my friends who have more respect than a journalist like you”, he added.

Mauro Icardi arrived at PSG in mid-2019 on loan from Inter Milan. A year later, the operation was carried out for the definitive signing.
