Byron Castillo will leave Barcelona SC to play in the Mexican league

Changes of winds. Byron Castillo is very close to signing for the Mexican group Pachuca. This was announced by the president of Barcelona, Alfaro Moreno, the club that owns the sports rights of the local team as well. In this way, the Ecuadorian defender would play in Liga MX.

“We have received a real and concrete proposal from Grupo Pachucha for Byron Castillo. We are discussing small details such as percentages of future transfers that Barcelona will retain. It is a subject that will be defined at any moment”, Alfaro Moreno specified during a press conference.

For his part, the player’s representative, José Chamorro, assured that the negotiation with the Pachuca Group is a fact, as well as that the player will reinforce the León club, in which his compatriot and teammate Ángel Mena plays.

The “TC Televisión” channel even showed images where the player is seen signing documents in the company of Chamorro which, according to the journalists of said chain, was the contract that unites Castillo with the Pachuca Group, which would have acquired 70% of its Rights.

Chamorro told reporters that Castillo will travel directly from the United States to Mexico, where the León club awaits him, led by Portuguese coach Renato Paiva since last week, who was until recently coach of Ecuador’s Independiente del Valle.

The directors of Barcelona have said that if Castillo’s departure is confirmed, they would hire the Ecuadorian defender of the American club Chicago Fire, John Jairo Espinoza, champion of the South American Sub’20 disputed in 2019 in Chile and third in the Polish Sub’20 World Cup in the same year.
