Trossard’s great goal in Belgium’s 6-1 victory over Poland in the League of Nations

The Belgian team convincingly beat Poland (6-1) for the second day of group D of the League of Nations. Although, the fourth goal of those led by Roberto Martínez was applauded by the audience at the Rey Balduino Stadium.

At 80 minutes, the ‘Red Devils’ won 3-1, however, they continued to attack in search of expanding the score. Yanick Ferreira Carrasco played with Leonardo Trossard who, from outside the area, placed the ball in the corner of the goal defended by Bartlomiej Dragowski.

Instantly, Belgium national team players such as Jan Vertonghen and Axel Witsel rushed to congratulate their teammate on the masterpiece. In the same way, the substitutes got up from their seats to see the great goal.

Belgium vs. Poland: previous

The ‘Red Devils’ suffered a surprising blow at home: they lost 1-4 against the Netherlands in the opening match of the competition. In that sense, the cast led by coach Roberto Martínez must recover to fight for the top. Meanwhile, the ‘White Eagles’ had no problem defeating Wales 2-1.

In addition to the crash, Belgium will be without Romelu Lukaku, who suffered an ankle injury in the Dutch. Without the ‘9’, Michy Batshuayi, Leandro Trossard and Dries Mertens are the attacking options. Meanwhile, Yannick Carrasco and Youri Tielemans have great options to return to the eleventh of the ‘Red Devils’.

For his part, coach Czeslaw Michniewicz is satisfied with his team’s performance against Wales. So the DT will touch the lineup a little. In fact, he has doubts about defining Robert Lewandowski’s companion up front. Karol Swiderski has the advantage over Adam Buksa and Krzysztof Piatek.
