Eden Hazard: “I’m going to be what I was, chaining games and minutes”

After suffering a painful rout against the Netherlands (4-1 loss) last Friday, Belgium thrashed Poland 6-1 at home during the second day of the UEFA Nations, achieving their first victory of this edition and with a great participation of Eden Hazard.

The Belgium captain was satisfied tonight with the result of the Red Devils. The Real Madrid striker insisted that he believes that by adding playing minutes he will recover his lower level.

“I’ve always said it, I’m going to go back to being what I was chaining games and minutes”, he told the microphones of RTL Hazard, visibly happy, after the Belgian win in front of his audience.

The attacker, who assisted Kevin de Bruyne in the 2-1, had several chances to score but failed to materialize.

“I have had chances, but unfortunately I have failed. Let’s see next time”, said Hazard, who added that the Red Devils played a “good game” despite having started losing.

Belgium win over Poland

Robert Lewandowski (28) put the Poles ahead but Axel Witsel (42), Kevin de Bruyne (59), Leandro Trossard (73 and 79), Leander Dendoncker (84) and Lois Openda (90+3) reflected their superiority on the scoreboard that the ‘Red Devils’ demonstrated on the field of play.

With this victory, the team coached by the Spaniard Roberto Martínez occupies second position in group A4, with the same points as Poland and only behind the Netherlands, who have won their two matches and lead the group with 6 points.
