The Liverpool squad has been adding new and young figures during the last transfer markets, with the intention of renewing the squad with a view to the future. The summer window for the 2022-23 academic year was no exception and the club finally presented Fábio Carvalho, 19, the promising signing that had already been confirmed a few weeks ago.
During the last days of May, the midfielder closed his agreement with the ‘Reds’, after being bought from Fulham, for a price of 5.9 million euros. Shortly after, the footballer visited the headquarters of the Anfield institution and even spoke with coach Jürgen Klopp, but the announcement still had to wait until July.
After completing the terms, Fábio Carvalho was officially presented in Liverpool, confirming the link until June 30, 2027. The midfielder posed with the new shirt, with number 28, and was happy with the great step in his career.
“It is an incredible feeling to be here. One of the biggest clubs in the world, if not the biggest. So I’m happy to be here and I can’t wait to get started. Once you hear that Liverpool are interested, there is only one thought in your mind, which is to join them and try to be in and around the team.”confessed the midfielder to the press area of his new squad.

Let us remember that Carvalho comes from being champion with Fulham in the Championship, the second division of England, and was vital in the title: he scored 10 goals and had eight assists in 36 games. In addition, the young midfielder recently made his debut with the U-21 of Portugal, the country of his birth, and qualified for the category’s European Championship. It is worth mentioning that Fábio came to England as a child and defended The ‘Three Lions’ in lower categories, but decided to change course.
