Andreas Christensen is Barcelona’s second signing and has a clause of 500 million

FC Barcelona does not waste time and continues to strengthen thinking about the following sporting year. Already this Monday, the Catalan club officially announced its second signing after the arrival of Franck Kessié. This is central defender Andreas Christense, who signed a contract for the next four seasons.

Barca and Christensen “They have reached an agreement for the incorporation of the player, after the footballer has finished his contract with Chelsea FC”, Said the Barça club in a statement.

Like Kessié, announced shortly before, the Danish center-back “He will sign a contract until June 30, 2026 and will have a termination clause of 500 million euros (523 million dollars)”.

The 26-year-old Dane is a reinforcement for Barça’s defense, which sees in Christensen a player who adapts to the characteristics of the Barça game due to his technical ability with the ball.

Christensen, international with his national team, also strengthens in the aerial game, being a player “capable of dominating defensive situations of any style”, according to Barcelona.

In the season that just ended, the defender played 34 games for Chelsea, scoring two goals and providing one assist.

The brand new signing of Barcelona will be presented on Thursday morning, one day after Kessié, whose arrival was also made official this Monday by the Blaugrana team.
