Not only are there movements in terms of the player squads in the different teams in the world, but there are also changes in the benches. Everything indicates that Christophe Galtier will become the new technical director of PSG. What’s more, the club announced a press conference at the Parc des Princes and, according to L’Équipe, the event will serve to welcome the coach.
The new strategist already visited the Camp des Loges training center last Thursday, in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (west of Paris), and will sign a contract “only two years old”according to the sports newspaper L’Équipe on Saturday.
The parties agreed to seal the contract once the PSG management and Mauricio Pochettino agreed to the departure of the Argentine and his coaching staff, which finally happened on Thursday afternoon with the payment of 10 million euros.
The Parisian club has not officially confirmed the signing of Galtier, but it has called a press conference for tomorrow, Tuesday, at 7:00 am (Peruvian time) and 2:00 pm (French time).
This morning, some players, including Marco Verratti, Georginio Wijnaldum, Mauro Icardi or Julian Draxler, went to the PSG sports city to undergo medical examinations and physical tests before the first training session that will take place tomorrow, presumably already under orders of Galtier.
The players who have been international with their national teams in June, such as Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi or Neymar, have an additional week off, so they will join the resumption of training on July 11.
