The Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Argentine Football Association (AFA) reached a four-year agreement for the Argentine Super Cup takes place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The tournament that is played between the winner of the Argentine Professional League and the champion of the Argentine Cup, will have a single match match in the Arab country until 2026.
It should be noted that the next edition of the Argentine Super Cup will be played between Boca Juniors and River Plate, whose definition match was suspended in 2020 due to the pandemic.
This decision had been causing controversy among Argentine fans. Let’s remember that something similar happens in the Spanish Super Cup, who dispute the final in Saudi Arabia.
