Jean Ferrari confirmed that Carlos Compagnucci will continue to be Universitario’s DT for all of 2023

They will not win the Torneo Clausura, but confidence is not lost. Universitario de Deportes is looking to increase its position in the standings and, although they have not been able to lift a trophy, Carlos Compagnucci will continue to direct them. This was confirmed by Jean Ferrari.

The administrator of Universitario maintained, in statements to Radio Ovación, that “For now, Compagnucci has already taken the team by the hand and has a contract for the whole of 2023. We fully trust that next year will be a great year for the club.”

Likewise, Ferrari, in dialogue with RPP, highlighted the good results achieved by Compagnucci together with Universitario in recent games: “He has been undefeated for 10 games, he has not had the opportunity to put together his team. If today we are in an international tournament it is because we corrected the sports part. We will respect the contract.”

The presence of Andy Polo in Universitario led the sports sector to analyze its renewal, although this has not yet been confirmed by Jean Ferrari, who did shed some light on the work being carried out for the assembly of the 2023 campus.

“On the possible renewal of Andy Polo’s contract, that will be seen by the sports part. However, I can assure you that we are already seeing some renewals and the mapping of hiring for next year, including foreigners”indicated the director of the student cadre.
