With Alianza Lima, Melgar and Cristal: How League 1 would be defined if it ended today

Lima Alliance took advantage of the defeat Sporting Crystal against Atlético Grau and took first place in the Closing Tournament, after the 2-0 win against Binacional. The Blue and Whites depend on their own results to win the championship that will give them a pass to the semifinal.

If the tournament ends today, Melgar (winner of the Opening Tournament and first of the accumulated) would be in the final directly. Yes Lima Alliance wins the Closing, he will have to play a semifinal against Sporting Crystalsince the rimenses are the ones in second place in the accumulated.

The winner of the semifinal will face FBC Melgar in the final of Liga 1 2022. The play-offs will be played with the simple elimination system in round-trip matches.

In the absence of 2 dates for the end of the Closing Tournament, Alianza Lima’s advantage over Sporting Cristal is just 1 point. The Blue and Whites will play the next date against Ayacucho FC (visit) and will close at home against ADT.

For its part, Sporting Cristal will be a visitor against Alianza Atlético and will close at home against Carlos A. Mannucci. Rimenses cannot give up more points, since they could end up below Alianza in the aggregate and thus lose the possibility of playing in the semifinal.
