A news that fills Neymar with peace of mind a few weeks before the start of the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The Brazilian was acquitted this Friday by the Prosecutor’s Office of the case for his controversial signing by FC Barcelona in 2013. Aware of this, the current PSG star left a message on social networks.
“Believe in yourself and God will show you how strong you are”, wrote ‘Ney’ in a post on Twitter. The Paulista, it is worth noting, put that in a ‘retweet’ of a Terra news about his situation. “The Prosecutor’s Office withdraws the charges of corruption and fraud against Neymar in Spain”was the owner.
In a new twist to this extensive legal saga, the Spanish Prosecutor’s Office on Friday withdrew all its accusations against Neymar and the rest of those named in the trial for the alleged irregularities committed in the transfer of the Brazilian star to FC Barcelona in 2013.
Neymar out of trouble
The Public Ministry “decided to withdraw the accusation with respect to all the accused and for all the facts”indicated this Friday the prosecutor Luis García in his conclusions at the Barcelona Court.
The change of the Prosecutor’s Office -which initially requested two years in prison and a fine of 10 million euros (9.95 million dollars) for ‘Ney’, for corruption in business- came in the final stretch of this long process started by DIS seven years ago.
Feeling cheated, the Brazilian fund, which had bought 40% of the player’s rights when he was still standing out at Santos, then turned to the Spanish justice system, which admitted his complaint for fraud and corruption in 2015.
