Caresses the Liga MX title: Víctor Guzmán scored 1-1 in Pachuca vs. Toluca and expands the global result

Pachuca worried about Toluca’s opening goal, however, put things in order at the Higaldo Stadium. The ‘Tuzos’ scored the tie in the second leg and thus extended the advantage on the global scoreboard so that, until now, they are the champions of the Liga MX Apertura.

In the final minutes of the first half (45’+2′), the local team took a corner kick that goalkeeper Volpi cleared. However, the ball was left to Kevin Álvarez who sent a cross and, again, the goalkeeper deflected it.

However, on this occasion, Víctor Guzmán took a strong shot that passed between several players. Finally, he entered the goal of the ‘Red Devils’ and thus, unleashed the hubbub in the room.

For now, Pachuca wins on aggregate 6-2 and seals the Liga MX title. For its part, Toluca will have to look for a miracle in the second half.

What happens if there is a global tie in Pachuca vs. Toluca?

Pachuca won 5-1 in the first leg. According to the Liga MX competition regulations, it indicates that if the global tie persists after the games, two extra times will be played, each one of 15 minutes, where there could be a winner. But if despite this the series remains equal, then it will proceed to a penalty shootout.
