Jefferson Farfán on his future at Alianza Lima: “I am calm. We’ll see what’s going to happen.”

Jefferson Farfán added his fifth title in Peruvian soccer and all with the Alianza Lima shirt. “Foquita” was not so decisive this season due to his knee injury, however, he highlighted the collective work of his teammates to win the two-time championship.

After the victory against Melgar, the 38-year-old national forward expressed his emotion and acknowledged that the blue and white team went through difficult times in the 2022 1st League. “Very happy, Alianza deserved this title, they have worked this very hard year and the people deserve everything. It’s a job for the whole group.” declared to GOLPERÚ.

“This group deserves all the best and we hope they can achieve many more things. I had a lot of faith in that team. Last year nobody gave a sun for this team “added the ‘Foquita’ who returned to the team of his loves in 2021 and contributed with four goals in that campaign.

On the other hand, the player referred to his future in the blue and white team: “I don’t know, I’m calm, we’ll see what will happen and now enjoy”. As recalled, the attacker has a contract with the club until the end of this year.

It is important to mention that Jefferson Farfán has had little participation in the season, since he only played three games in the Clausura of Liga 1. The blue and white footballer entered the final minutes of the games against Universitario, Binacional and ADT, all in Matute.
