Now , the objective is to have a leading role in the contest.

The Uruguayan team will be led by Luis Suárez and Edinson Cavani, the experienced attacking duo that has found continuity in recent months. However, they are not the only visible faces of the squad: Federico Valverde, Darwin Núñez and Rodrigo Bentancur are emerging as key players for the World Cup.

On the other hand, the presence of Ronald Araújo in defense is still unknown, since he arrived injured. Although the battle-hardened player has already trained, there are still doubts about including him in the starting lineup, either at center back or as a right-back. In the same way, Diego Alonso will wait for him until the end.
