João Mário explained the ‘cold’ greeting between Ronaldo and Fernandes: “It was a joke”

Cristiano Ronaldo showed his discomfort with Manchester United and, during an interview with the journalist Piers Morgan, attacked the coach Erik Ten Hag and managers. The striker’s statements have caused a great impact and even seem to have strained the relationship with Bruno Fernandes, his teammate in the ‘Red Devils’ and the Portugal team.

The Portuguese cast published a video of the reunion of the players before the start of the World Cup. Although, the gesture of the midfielder with the scorer generated controversy: he touched his arm and, after leaving his things, he was slow to respond to the handshake. ‘CR7 ′ revealed his surprise, while his partner at Manchester United, after giving a disapproving look, continued on her way.

The images became a trend on social networks and users spread the rumor of possible problems in the locker room of the European team. However, during a press conference, João Mário rejected these reports and explained the reason for the “cold” greeting.

“I was happy to be in the locker room at the time and I saw the images. It’s funny, because sometimes it can be subject to interpretation. It was a joke between them because Bruno was curiously one of the last to arrive (on campus) and Cristiano asked him if he had come by boat.”mentioned the Benfica midfielder.

In the same way, he returned to put an end to speculation. “I am convinced that they have a good relationship because they play together and because I saw them before and saw them again. All yesterday a little piece of what happened was seen but there is no problem between them ”he added.
