Winter holidays are coming, but good habits don’t change. Before each weekend, Le Parisien offers a selection of editions and events not to be missed in Ile-de-France. Review.

Weekend poster: PSG challenge their former goalkeeper

HANDBALL. Paris has not forgotten him. This Sunday, Vincent Gerard will be at the gates of Coubertin… but with the Saint Raphael jersey (10th in the standings) on his back. Having left for the Côte d’Azur in the off-season, the former PSG (2019-2022) goalkeeper will therefore find one of his former teammates in front of him who will have only one desire: to score as many goals as possible at the last bastion. the French team to remain co-leaders of the championship. Winners of Gudme on Wednesday in the Champions League, the Parisians should not miss out on Nantes and Montpellier (who also play Creteil on Sunday).

In Proligue, this is another remote duel between the co-leaders, which will continue this Friday. The difference from Starligue is that it is from the Île-de-France region. Tremblay, going to Frontignan (5th), does not have the favor of forecasts, unlike Ponto, who goes to Strasbourg, last in the class with 10 defeats. But anything can happen…

Good deed: walk around and pick up trash

This is a good way to connect useful and pleasant. Walking is good for the planet. This Saturday, November 26th, Domaine de Longchamps, located in the Bois de Boulogne, will host a day of shared waste collection. The aim is to raise the awareness of the youngest (from 6 years old), not only about the pollution of the planet, but also in the city, as in Paris. This day was made possible thanks to the Trash Spotter application, which allows you to report the presence of abandoned waste and indicate their collections in a few clicks. App creators will be there. The garbage collection is organized by the GoodPlanet Foundation in partnership with the association Marcheurs Cueilleurs, sponsored by renowned photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand, whose goal is to “clean up nature, raise awareness for as many people as possible and launch alerts for environmental protection”.

Distribution of materials from 14:30 at the Good Planet Foundation.

Moment of exchange: Crest du Figaro

RUN. Created in 1961 and suspended in 2000 after its 40th edition, the Cross du Figaro, with up to 36,000 participants in 1979, is a legendary race. After the Bois de Boulogne, the Crest du Figaro has been held since 2013 in the Domaine de Saint-Cloud. This new edition will take place in the heart of one of the most beautiful parks, surrounded by nature, on the edge of waterfalls, ponds and thickets.

Four arrivals are planned (5, 10, 15, 20 kilometers) with departures at 9:00 and 11:30. Confirmed runners and beginner runners can start together at any distance because this race is a group start. Night and festive 5 km race under the aperitif sign (!) is also on the menu this Friday (20:00). Finally, Cross du Figaro is the first event of the 2019 telethon. It will start this week of popular mobilization, and part of the registration fees and profits from the sale of t-shirts will be donated to the telethon.

To prove yourself without regard to costs: Bike & Run in Palaiseau

TRIATHLON. The USA Triathlon Section of Palaiseau (affiliated to FFTRI, the French Triathlon Federation) and the city of Palaiseau are organizing the 13th edition of Bike & Run, which will take place this Sunday on the grounds of the Palaiseau Polytechnic. The event is part of the Île-de-France Bike & Run 2022-2023 and will also support the 2022 French Cycling and Running Championships.

Bike & Run is a discipline consisting of running and mountain biking (unassisted) in teams with one bike for two team members. Practiced on forest paths, the event is open and accessible to everyone. Team members are free to switch bikes and are not required to stay together. To cross the finish line, team members must be together in the “finish area” (approximately 100m).

Motto to follow: “Keep calm in the heat of the competition.”

MARTIAL ARTS. On November 26 and 27, 2022, the CDFAS in Aubonne (Luc Abalo sports complex) will host the French Cup in kyudo, or traditional Japanese archery, in which about a hundred participants will take part. Admission will be free and the opportunity to discover a unique discipline that combines the pleasure of shooting and the zen spirit of the martial way in the purest Japanese tradition. Several dozen archers from all over France, individually or in teams, will fight for the podium over two days. France regularly becomes champion or vice-champion in international tournaments, individually or as part of teams.

The Zen and chivalrous art of traditional Japanese archery is the perfect inspiration to find some peace in a body-mind practice where target shooting is adorned with elegance as well as expressing high moral values. To see kyudo is to see the aesthetic and sporting dimension of Japanese art, which is displayed at shooting ceremonies or during competitions.

Quantity: 8

As well as the number of defeats in the maximum number of games since the beginning of the season for Levallois volleyball players. The promoted Fred Havas players are hoping to end this black streak with Saint-Raphael’s reception on Saturday. A mission that promises to be challenging. On the other hand, at the top of the standings, all is well for Stade Français Paris Saint-Cloud, which is in 5th place, but only two lengths behind leader Nantes. Marianne, the nickname of the Parisians, have not lost in their lair to Geo Andre this season and hope to remain so after the arrival of Béziers (7th) on Saturday.
