Neymar’s right ankle injury seems to be a thing of the past. Although it is true that his presence in the match between Brazil and South Korea is not certain, for the round of 16 of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, the star left a message that fills the South American country with optimism.
“Feels good, I knew I would be now”, wrote ‘Ney’ in a post on Twitter, accompanied by funny emoticons and two postcards from this Saturday’s training session, held at the Grand Hamad Stadium, where the Brazilian team exercises during the World Cup.
In the session, Neymar returned to working with the ball, something he hadn’t done since he suffered the injury against Serbia and which kept him out of the games against Switzerland and Cameroon. Through a video from the Brazilian Football Confederation, the player could be seen shooting on goal, normally, and with a huge smile on his face.
Sensitive casualties in Brazil
Forward Gabriel Jesus and left back Alex Telles are out of the World Cup in Qatar after injuries to their right knees, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) reported this Saturday.
“They underwent an MRI on their right knee which confirmed the injuries and the impossibility of recovery in time to participate in the World Cup”indicated the CBF in a statement.
The two players, whose ailments are added to those of Danilo and Alex Sandro, were starters in the defeat against Cameroon (1-0), on Friday at the close of Group G, in which the ‘Canarinha’ used an alternative eleven to reach the round of 16.
