His star returns: Neymar returns to training and Tite confirmed his presence in Brazil vs. South Korea

The knockout phases began and good news arrived for the ‘Canarinha’. Tite, the Brazil coach, confirmed that Neymar will play tomorrow the round of 16 match against South Korea or the round of 16 of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The Brazilian coach began his press conference prior to the match against the Koreans confirming the presence of the ’10’ in the duel this Monday. “He will train today in the afternoon, training (well), he will be in the game”, said the DT in a press conference prior to Monday’s match at the 974 stadium in Doha.

The 61-year-old Brazilian coach stated that the presence of the Paris Saint Germain star must have the approval of the medical department and that, if approved, he would start.

”I prefer to use my best player from the beginning. I as a coach must assume responsibilities ”, added. Neymar would play his first minutes after recovering from the ligament injury in his right ankle that he suffered against Serbia.

The Brazilian trained for the first time this Saturday with his teammates, after several days of recovery at the hotel, according to images released by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).

The ’10’ was seen smiling, kicking with both legs, jogging and jumping to head in the penultimate practice before the clash against the Asians.

“I feel good, I knew I would be now”he wrote on Instagram at the end of the Saturday practice, accompanying his message with a photo of open arms, smiling and looking at the sky.

It should be remembered that the 30-year-old footballer suffered a sprained right ankle in the final stretch of the ‘Canarinha’s’ victorious debut in the World Cup, against Serbia (2-0) on November 24.

Since then, Brazil have beaten Switzerland 1-0 and closed the group stage with a 1-0 loss to Cameroon on Friday fielding a ‘B’ team, although they finished top of Group G.

The eventual return of the crack would be a balm for the five-time champions, favorites for the title, after the injuries to the winger Alex Telles and the attacker Gabriel Jesus in the right knees in the game against the Cameroonians that left them out of the World Cup.

And it would add to the return of right-back Danilo, also sidelined since the game against the Serbs due to a blow to his left ankle, confirmed by Tite this Sunday.
