Two games away from being history: Lloris sets a record with France and seeks to surpass Neuer in World Cups

The World Cup Qatar 2022 will be the last time Hugo Lloris represent your country in the most important national team event in the world. At 35, the Tottenham goalkeeper still wants to continue making history. Beyond looking for the two-time championship in the tournament, he also has in mind some statistics that would place him as a legend, not only among the French team, but also in global football.

With this, the man born in Nice registered his 17th match in World Cups, remaining two games away from equaling the German Manuel Neuer, goalkeeper with the most appearances in the history of the competition. Although he received a penalty, he ended the game celebrating the 3-1 win over Poland that qualifies him for the quarterfinals of Qatar 2022.
