The cameras of @sport captured the precise moment in which the fans of the Brazilian legend meet outside the establishment where the former player is hospitalized. They hold hands and begin to pray for his speedy recovery.

Hundreds of fans wear the white shirt, which is the characteristic color of Santos, a club where ‘O Rei’ is an idol and also lifted the Copa Libertadores twice. The fans will continue to keep vigil for a few more hours, although they also maintain hope due to Pelé’s reassuring message.

Through Instagram, the three-time world champion (1958, 1962 and 1970) indicated that his health is stable and is improving. “My friends, I want to keep everyone calm and positive. I am strong, with great enthusiasm and I follow my treatment as always “reads at the beginning.

“I want to thank the entire medical and nursing team for all the care I received (…) I have great faith in God and every message of love I receive from you all over the world keeps me full of energy. And look at Brazil in the World Cup too!” added.
