Sky Cup 2022: when it starts, how it is played, calendar and where to watch

The Cup for Mexico, or now known as the Sky Cup, returns in this final part of the year and will serve the clubs as preparation for what will be the Closing Tournament of the MX League 2023.

A total of 10 clubs will compete with each other to refine details and polish some points as part of their respective preseasons. Below, find out all the details of this tournament that returns after two years.

WHEN DOES THE SKY CUP 2022 START?

The tournament starts this Monday, December 12 and will end on Friday the 30th of the same month, since the Clausura 2023 Tournament will be played from January 6.

HOW IS THE CUP FOR MEXICO PLAYED? FORMAT

The 10 participating teams are divided into two groups of five, where they will face each other. Subsequently, the leader of each zone will qualify directly to the final.

IN WHICH STADIUMS WILL THE SKY CUP BE PLAYED?

The matches of the Aztec tournament will be played in four stadiums: Olímpico Universitario (CU), Nemesio Diez, Jalisco and Universitario de Nuevo León.

WHERE TO SEE THE SKY CUP 2022 ON TV?

The transmission of the championship will be in charge of the TUDN and Sky Sports signals for the entire Mexican territory.
