FIFA studies sanction for ‘Kun’ Agüero and Antonela Rocuzzo for touching the World Cup

Antonela Rocuzzo, wife of Lionel Messiand Sergio Agüero, a former soccer player, could be sanctioned by FIFA because, in the midst of the celebrations of the Argentine team after winning the 2022 World Cup, both manipulated the world Cupan honor that only a few can access.

As is known, FIFA gives a replica of the trophy to the winning team, so they can take it to their country and exhibit it. However, during the awards, the organization awards the original cup to the squad. That is why the protocol dictates that only certain people can touch it.

“As one of the world’s most recognizable sporting symbols and a priceless icon, the original FIFA World Cup Trophy can only be touched and held by a very select group of people, including former FIFA World Cup winners. and heads of state,” FIFA announced in a statement.

Although ‘Kun’ was invited to live with his former teammates in the concentration, and Antonela has been present in each of the matches, neither of them had the necessary accreditation to step on the Lusail stadium grass. Then FIFA, through a spokesman, announced that action will be taken.

“After having examined the matter, FIFA is looking into how individuals were able to gain unauthorized access to the pitch, following the closing ceremony, at the Lusail Stadium on December 18. Appropriate measures will be taken internally,” the spokesperson told BBC Sports.

Although it is very likely that the sanctions will not reach Rocuzzo or Agüero, the soccer governing body assured that, internally, there will be consequences.
