Marcelo Bee Sellares, a lawyer specializing in sports law, released the resolution of the highest soccer body on the legal dispute between the player and the Brazilian club, after the abrupt departure of the national attacker to Pachuca in 2020 when he still had a contract with the ‘Fish’.

The document explains that Cueva is sentenced to pay about 7 million dollars (40 million reais) to the Brazilian club within 45 days for breach of contract. In case of not being responsible for that amount, he would spend half a year disabled from any soccer activity.
