“The best thing that could happen to the FPF”: opinions on ‘Chemo’ del Solar and his new position in minors

1.- What is ‘Chemo’ Del Solar’s methodology in training?

2.- What makes you ideal for your new position?

Jersson Vásquez, defender of César Vallejo

1.- He is a coach who works a lot on possession of the ball, for him that is very important. He works a lot in small spaces, especially he focuses on that.

2.- He has a good arrival with the footballer, he respects a lot those who have won things in football and obviously demands a lot from the boys. Personally, it was a pleasure to work with him again, because he was my coach in 2005 at Sporting Cristal. At that time he was a child and definitely to see him again after years was to remember those times again. It was really good working with him.

Carlos Grados, goalkeeper for César Vallejo

1.- He is the best coach I’ve ever had on how to plan a strategy and tactics. In addition, he helped you develop more easily in matches to be able to bring out the talent of each one. He has a European style and a great vision to be able to change the scheme in the middle of the game and even out the imbalance.

2.- The years and experience have made him mature and be more tolerant of some things, such as attitudes that players sometimes have. I’m sure it will go well. I hope the youngsters pick up on his idea of fast play so we can see his stamp from younger and a true style of play.

Luis Gálvez, sports manager of César Vallejo

1.- Methodology in possession of the ball. Many small spaces in training. In addition, he always sought to be a protagonist in any field. He focused on the possession game. He used the line of 3 centrals a lot here, I don’t know now how he will work in the FPF.

2.- He got along very well with everyone, never a problem. Qualifying three times for International tournaments and we went up to the First Division. That’s why he stayed 5 years. I think the best thing that could happen to the FPF is to have trained people like ‘Chemo’ del Solar. Apart from being a good person, he is a great professional and we need that in our teams. I’m sure he’ll do a good job with the boys.
