Chelsea is “very close” to completing the signing of Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk, the Ukrainian club said on Saturday.
“Shakhtar Chairman Rinat Akhmetov and Chelsea Co-Owner Behdad Eghbali discussed today (Saturday) Mudryk’s move to Chelsea FC,” Shakhtar tweeted. “All parties are very close to agreeing on the player’s transfer.”
Mudryk, a 22-year-old Ukrainian player, has scored seven goals in his country’s championship this season. The British media indicate that the agreement for the Ukrainian international could reach close to 100 million euros.
The London club currently sits in 10th place in the Premier League, conceding its seventh defeat (2-1) in the last 10 games in all competitions at Fulham on Thursday.
Why did Enzo Fernández’s pass fall?
In a first contact between the two clubs, Benfica made it clear that they will agree to part with Fernández if they pay the player’s termination, set at €120 million. Apparently, the English had no problems and promised an investment greater than the clause (it was around €130 million).
However, when the leader sat down to evaluate the proposal, the amount was much less and that is why the pass ended up falling. This is how the Argentine will continue playing in Portugal with the ‘Águilas’.
