OM: Sead Kolasinac was robbed during the match against Rennes, his family is in shock

According to 20 Minutes, Olympique de Marseille defender Sead Kolasinac was robbed at his home during the Coupe de France round of 16 match against Rennes on Friday.

The wife and daughter of a Bosnian international player (pick 51) were present during the events at the family home located in Cassis (Bouches du Rhone). “His family is quite remarkable,” one source told AFP. About the stolen items, the amount of damage and whether the robbers were armed, has not yet been reported.

Burglaries targeting footballers during a game are quite common. Thus, on January 18, two men were convicted of burglary of Marquinhos, the Brazilian international defender of Paris SG, in March 2021. They were sentenced to seven and five years in prison respectively.

According to the Organized Crime Information, Intelligence and Strategic Analysis Service (Sirasco), 22 professional players were victims of these thefts in France in 2021. In 2020, there were 13 of them. In 2022 alone, 18 facts were revealed in the press.

Kolasinac, 29, nicknamed “Tank” or “Cola”, joined OM in January 2022 from English club Arsenal. Already the author of three goals this season, the Bosnian international has now won a place as a quasi-holder in Igor Tudor’s eleven.
