France squad: Kante, Meignan and Pogba resume training

This event did not fail to cover the English media. Ngolo Kante was seen on the football field this Tuesday. After suffering a hamstring injury last October, he had to pull out of the World Cup and only resumed training on Monday. The first step without touching the ball, which means that before seeing him again in competition with the “blues” and “blues” is still a long way off. He will clearly not be part of the list that Didier Deschamps will announce in two weeks for France’s matches at the end of March (24th against the Netherlands, then 27th in Ireland).

Kante has only played two games since the start of the season. However, the Blues still believe in him. According to The Telegraph, the 2018 world champion has no desire to change airtime after the contract expires in June and must agree to a lease extension at the London club.

More good news for Didier Deschamps: Paul Pogba is serious about getting back on the pitch. On Tuesday, he played against Juventus reserves and Italian media believe he could play in the derby against Torino on 28 February. If his knee is good and if he continues to meet in early March, he can claim to have found the Blues, even if the deadline is very tight.

Mike Meignan should really appear in Didier Deschamps’ selection. Heir-designate Hugo Lloris, the AC Milan goalkeeper who trained at PSG, also resumed training on Tuesday. After suffering a calf injury at the end of September during a 2-0 match with Austria, he was forced to forfeit his right to participate in the World Cup in Qatar. He is due to play again on 4 March in the league against Fiorentina.
