Based on this situation, in the last hours, the FPF issued a statement through its social networks, where it delves into more details of this measure.

“Today in an interview with a media outlet, the intention of the FBC Melgar Club was reported not to allow the broadcast of the match that it would play at home against Club Sport Boys, scheduled for February 26, by Liga1 Max. , signal accredited by the FPF”, begins the document.

In this way, the Peruvian soccer entity assures that it made this decision in order to safeguard “the integrity of the people involved” and that riots do not start around the UNSA Monumental Stadium.

“In this sense and in line with the current regulations, the FPF has made the decision to reschedule the match between FBC Melgar and Sport Boys, corresponding to Date 6, since it does not have the necessary guarantees so that it takes place without altercations of any kind. type and without jeopardizing the integrity of the people involved, as is typical of a sporting event where legality and fair play must prevail at all levels. The new date and time of the meeting will be communicated in the coming days,” the statement concluded.

Let’s remember that the match between Sporting Cristal and Binacional was also suspended for the same reasons.
